About

Mrs. Coker

Hi! My name is Sharon Coker.  I began teaching in 1990 as a substitute teacher at Pigeon Forge Primary School. I have taught kindergarten, second, and third grades. Now you do the math to figure out how many years I have been teaching.  My husband Woody and I were married the following year.  We do not have children, but we do have one dog.  We rescued Roscoe from a shelter in 2012.  She is a little bit of several breeds of dogs and she doesn't know that she has a boy name, so don't tell her!

I am a graduate of Heritage High School in Maryville and the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. GO VOLS!  I have a B.S., M.S., and Ed.S from the University of Tennessee.

In our spare time, we like to go on motorcycle rides.  We bought a Goldwing in 2014, it is so comfortable, now we can ride longer amounts of time. During the summer of 2015 we took a trip to New York and rode over 3,000 miles in just 12 days.

I also work with the youth at Cedar Grove.  They are a very special group of teenagers and they keep me up-to-date on all the cool stuff!
